Frequently Asked Questions

What issues do you specialize in?
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma. Many of my clients struggle with mood disorders, stress, and the effects of difficult life experiences.

What therapy approaches do you use?
I use evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. I also integrate depth-oriented approaches to help you explore underlying patterns.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or find that your symptoms interfere with daily life, therapy can help. Many people seek therapy when they want new tools, support, or perspective.

What can I expect in the first session?
In our first session, I will ask about your history, current challenges, and goals. We will set a plan that fits your needs and adjust it as we go.

How long does therapy take?
This depends on your goals and situation. Some people see progress in a few months, while others work longer-term. We will regularly check in about your progress.

Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients who prefer the flexibility and comfort of meeting online.

Is everything we discuss confidential?
Yes. Sessions are confidential with a few legal exceptions, such as risk of harm to yourself or others. I will explain these exceptions before we begin.

Do you prescribe medication?
No. As a psychotherapist, I do not prescribe medication. If medication may be helpful, I can coordinate with your doctor or psychiatrist.

What is your fee and do you accept insurance?
I offer private-pay sessions. Some clients are able to use out-of-network insurance benefits. I can provide a receipt (superbill) for reimbursement if your plan allows.

How do I schedule a session?
You can contact me through my website or email. I will respond with available times and answer any initial questions.
