Art heals
The creative practice is a highly effective tool for healing. Whether you use fine art, dancing, music, writing, or some other art form—studies have shown that creating art is therapeutic for mental health and recovery. My work encourages creative expression; sometimes we cannot find the words to express how we feel, yet colors, shapes, and expressive strokes can speak volumes. Art therapy is a way for one to paint or move through negative emotions and overcome obstacles.
I work as a gallery artist and illustrator for Spirituality & Health Magazine. I paint in oil, acrylic, and watercolor mediums. In my own personal development work, I have found art to be extremely helpful for my healing process. When I work with my clients I will assign creative projects and come together to review creative works as a way to understand the deeper psyche. I also teach simple mindfulness watercolor techniques.
Below are some examples of my work.
